There have been a number of positive job announcements this week!
So far over 325 new jobs coming on board in Dublin and Cork……

First up–} A new entrant into the health insurance market, GloHealth is bringing with it 150 jobs and 45 of these positions have already been filled. Read more here

Next Up–} 60 jobs are to be created by Alarm Control 24 in a €3million investment in Ireland’s only long range raadio telemetry  alarm monitoring system.  These jobs will be based in Sandyford, Dublin. Click here to read more about this story from the Herald website.

–} Guidewire Software to create 25 new jobs in Blanchardstown. This major player in the insurance software business is a dynamic and fast-growing software company and the new jobs in Dublin are part of an IDA-backed investment. Read more on Silicon Republic

–} US company, Intergeo Services is bringing with it 30 new jobs to its new European Headquarters in Carlow. The initiative is part of Irish Government’s Action Plan for Jobs 2012, under which Succeed in Ireland (delivered by ConnectIreland) aims to create 5,000 new jobs over the next five years. And finally this week–} 60 jobs announced for Dublin and Cork by technology firm Xilinx.
The company said 45 of the new jobs are in the high-end engineering area and the remaining 15 in support. Read more about this story on

That’s a total of more than 325 news jobs announced this week – not a bad week for such fields as IT, Healthcare, Insurance and Technology.
